Pink Christmas sweaters, old-fashioned ornaments, cheerful ribbons and a gathering of sweet little holiday characters give this one-of-a-kind paper collection its playful vintage Christmas spirit.

Sugarplum Christmas No. 002 is a handmade Mini Journal & Ephemera Kit filled with coordinated paper pieces designed for writing, list making, journaling and creative play.

The heart of this set is a pair of long-format handmade mini journals covered in a wonderfully cheerful pink Christmas sweater print. The narrow format makes them easy to tuck into a larger journal, keep close at hand for quick notes, or use for all those little lists that seem to multiply during the Christmas season.

Inside, you'll find lined writing paper, making these little journals as useful as they are decorative.

Each journal also has its own handmade corner pocket containing three coordinating pieces of Christmas ephemera, for a total of six pieces in the set.

For No. 002, I chose a playful assortment that includes a rosy-cheeked Santa, vintage-inspired Christmas puppies, a pink candy ornament, a pink Christmas bauble and a wonderfully nostalgic ticket.

Little Details Everywhere

The two mini journals are finished with metal eyelets and layered red and ivory ribbons, while soft pink fabric trim runs along the outer edges for another bit of texture.

Those small tactile details are an important part of these kits. I want them to feel like something discovered in a drawer of collected Christmas treasures rather than something simply taken from a package.

A coordinating Merry Christmas decorative pen is included and sits beautifully between the two journals when the collection is tucked into its holder.

Two Large Journal Tags

This set also includes two large coordinating tags made from heavier-weight scrapbook paper.

One features a whimsical pink Christmas tree pattern, while the second provides a quieter solid pink surface. Both are topped with soft fabric tabs, making them lovely additions to a junk journal, altered book, scrapbook or Christmas memory journal.

They can also be used for notes, lists, gift journaling or as oversized bookmarks.

The Oversized Pocket Holder

Everything comes together inside a handmade oversized tag-shaped pocket holder created from heavyweight scrapbook paper.

The front pocket features a beautiful dusty-pink vintage ornament pattern, while the reverse reveals an entirely different design filled with old-fashioned Christmas typography—Merry & Bright, Greetings, Silent Night, Joy to the World, Noel, Jingle Bells and other snippets of Christmas cheer.

I inked and distressed the edges of the holder to soften the papers and give the entire piece a slightly timeworn appearance.

And just like the journals and tags, the holder is meant to be kept and used.

Slip it into a larger journal, fill it with ephemera and notes, use it to organize paper treasures, or incorporate the entire piece into another creative project.
