Avocado Naturally Hand-Dyed Paper – Dusty Pink & Pale Rose – 10 Sheets, 8.5 × 11 Inch
Details
Soft, romantic, and a little unexpected, these naturally avocado-dyed papers emerge in beautiful dusty pink and pale rose tones—a lovely reminder that nature doesn't always produce the colors we expect.
Each package contains 10 sheets of standard 8.5 × 11 inch copy paper, individually hand dyed using avocado.
The resulting color is a delicate, muted pink with variations ranging through pale rose, dusty blush, and softly aged pink tones. Because the color comes from natural dye rather than commercially manufactured pigment, every sheet develops a little differently.
Some sheets may be softly and relatively evenly colored. Others may carry deeper areas of rose, subtle mottling, organic markings, impressions, or patterns created naturally during the dyeing and drying process.
Some sheets may also feature intentionally created stencil patterns, while others are left to display the quieter patterns and markings created by the natural dye itself.
There is no standard assortment.
Each package is its own collection of ten naturally dyed sheets, with the variations of the process allowed to remain part of their beauty.

Wander Through the Paper Garden
Step into a garden where paper takes its color from the natural world.
Wander Through the Paper Garden is a collection of hand-dyed papers created with natural materials, where color, water, texture, and time are allowed to leave their own marks behind.
No two sheets grow quite the same.
Some emerge softly mottled and quiet. Others carry deeper pools of color, delicate speckles, unexpected impressions, or patterns left behind during the dyeing and drying process. Some are given an additional layer of pattern through stenciling, while others are left to show whatever nature decided to create.
These beautiful variations are part of the journey.
Made for junk journals, collage, altered books, mixed media, paper crafting, and wherever your own creativity happens to wander.
The Beauty of Natural Dye
One of the most delightful things about natural dye is that its color can be wonderfully unexpected.
Avocado creates a surprisingly beautiful family of soft pinks and muted rose tones. Rather than the bright, uniform pink of commercially colored paper, these sheets have a quieter botanical quality—dusty, softly aged, and naturally varied.
No two batches—and no two sheets—are exactly alike.
One area may develop a slightly deeper rose tone while another remains delicately blush. You may find subtle mottling, speckles, organic markings, impressions, or gentle shifts in color across a single sheet.
The drying process can leave its own marks as well. Paper may pick up impressions from cloth, paper towels, textured surfaces, or other materials it encounters during the process.
Some sheets are deliberately patterned using stencils. Others are left to reveal whatever patterns the avocado dye and drying process create on their own.
These variations aren't imperfections to be removed.
They're part of what natural dye made.
And because nature doesn't repeat herself precisely, there is no “standard” 10-sheet package.
A Very Important Note About Color
Natural-dyed papers are particularly difficult to photograph with complete color accuracy.
I have photographed these avocado-dyed papers as carefully as possible, but the photographs appear somewhat lighter and more washed out than the papers do in person.
The actual papers have a beautiful dusty pink to pale rose coloring, with natural variations in depth and tone from sheet to sheet.
Your phone, tablet, computer monitor, and individual screen settings can also affect how these subtle pink tones appear.
In addition, because this is a natural dye process, the color itself varies from sheet to sheet and from one batch to another.
Please use the photographs as representative examples of the overall color family, patterns, and character of these papers rather than as a guarantee of an exact shade or of the particular 10 sheets you will receive.
Made for Creative Possibilities
The soft botanical pink of avocado-dyed paper lends itself beautifully to projects with romantic, botanical, vintage, cottage, feminine, shabby, floral, or softly aged themes—but it certainly doesn't have to stay there.
Use these papers for junk journals, altered books, handmade journals, collage, mixed media, scrapbook layouts, folios, pockets and tuck spots, tags, handmade cards, paper ephemera, correspondence, bookmaking, backgrounds, layering, and other creative paper projects.
The quieter sheets make beautiful writing pages and backgrounds, while sheets with stronger natural markings or stencil patterns can become focal pages or collage elements.
And, as with all of the papers in this collection, the scraps are worth keeping.
A torn edge, small piece of mottled rose, or fragment of stencil pattern may be just what another project needs.
Please Note
These papers are hand dyed rather than commercially printed or mechanically color-matched.
Natural variation is expected and may include differences in color, depth of tone, saturation, mottling, speckling, organic markings, surface texture, stencil placement, and impressions created during the drying process.
Small natural traces or inclusions associated with the dyeing process may occasionally remain.
Because paper is exposed to liquid during hand dyeing, individual sheets may also have slight waviness, wrinkles, softened edges, or other dimensional variations.
Stencil designs, when included, may vary in pattern, position, clarity, and intensity.
These characteristics are part of the handmade nature of the paper and will vary from package to package.
You will receive 10 sheets. You will not necessarily receive the exact sheets shown in the photographs.
Care & Storage
Because these papers receive their color from natural materials rather than commercially manufactured colorfast dyes, some change in color may occur over time.
For best preservation, store unused papers in a cool, dry location away from prolonged direct sunlight, excessive moisture, and humidity.
Natural dyes may react differently with adhesives, sealants, sprays, inks, wet media, and other art materials. If the finished appearance is important to your project, testing your chosen product on a scrap or inconspicuous area first is recommended.
These papers are intended for decorative paper crafting and creative use.
They are not represented as archival, acid-free, food-safe, or colorfast unless specifically stated otherwise.
