October Curiosities is a handmade autumn journal and writing kit inspired by all the peculiar little treasures that seem to gather as the days grow shorter.

Rich pumpkin orange, warm brown, faded rust and deep blue mingle with autumn foliage, vintage-style papers, softly aged tags and just a hint of October mischief.

Tucked together inside a large handmade pocket are two slender writing journals, two oversized journaling tags, a coordinating autumn pen and a collection of removable paper curiosities to use wherever your own creativity takes you.

A Little Story

There are always a few things in the drawer that don't quite belong anywhere else.

An old ticket.

A raven clipped from a forgotten page.

Leaves saved because their colors were too beautiful to throw away.

And perhaps a black cat who appears to know considerably more about the whole business than he's willing to tell.

October Curiosities was inspired by those wonderfully miscellaneous little treasures—the bits and pieces we keep simply because something about them makes us smile.

Two Handmade Mini Writing Journals

At the heart of the collection are two tall handmade writing journals in coordinating autumn designs.

One is covered in a wonderful tumble of orange, rust and golden foliage against a deep blue background. A small corner pocket holds autumn leaves and a vintage-style raven piece, giving the journal the feeling of an old scrapbook discovered at the end of the season.

The second journal is wrapped in warm pumpkin orange with a deep brown corner pocket. Vintage ticket imagery, autumn leaves and a wonderfully expressive little black cat add just the right touch of October whimsy.

Both are finished at the top with softly frayed neutral fabric ties.

Inside, you'll find lined writing paper, making these much more than decorative pieces. They're little journals made to be written in, carried, tucked into a larger journal or kept close at hand for those thoughts that arrive when you least expect them.

Two Oversized Journaling Tags

Two large handmade tags add even more writing and creative space to the collection.

The larger tag features warm brown diagonal stripes and a soft fabric tab, while the smaller coordinating tag has an intricate vintage-inspired pattern in beautifully aged brown tones.

Turn them over and you'll find generous blank writing surfaces, finished with softly inked edges.

Use them for journaling, memory keeping, a favorite quotation, a photograph, a handwritten letter or even a special note tucked into a gift.

Once removed from the holder, they can easily become part of another journal, scrapbook or paper project.

The Handmade Pocket Holder

Everything gathers inside a large handmade tag-shaped holder with a deep front pocket.

Its soft ombré background moves from warm dusty rose and faded rust into creamy ivory, with delicate mottling and hand-inked edges adding to its timeworn character.

The large white upper portion gives the piece a wonderfully simple contrast to all of the rich autumn color tucked inside.
