Genuine Rusted Safety Pins – 3½ Inch, Set of 2

A pair of oversized safety pins with the beautifully imperfect character of genuine rust.

I create the rusted finish by hand using my own rusting solution, developed and refined over time. Each pin takes on its own blend of warm brown, reddish rust, and darker aged-metal tones, making every pair a little different.

At approximately 3½ inches long, these large safety pins make striking embellishments for grungy junk journals, altered books, fabric collage, and mixed-media artwork. Use them to attach tags, gather layers of fabric or lace, or add an industrial touch to a handmade piece.
