A Little Autumn Story

There is a different sort of quiet that arrives with an autumn evening.

Under the October Moon was inspired by that lovely in-between hour when autumn turns a little mysterious.

A black cat sits beneath a glowing moon while another has found a companion beneath the trees. Birds cross the evening sky, fallen maple leaves scatter across the path, and somewhere among all of it is an old ticket that seems to have been saved from another day entirely.

Perhaps there was somewhere special to go.

Perhaps the cats know.

They don't appear particularly interested in telling us.

About This Set

Autumn Treasures: Under the October Moon is a one-of-a-kind handmade mini journal and ephemera set created by Butterfly in the Attic.

At the center of the collection are two tall, slender mini journals wrapped in warm pumpkin-orange paper with beautiful autumn leaf details peeking from the lower corners.

Watercolor-style leaves in muted green, ochre, rust, brown and burgundy give the journals a wonderfully collected-from-nature feeling, while narrow bands of richly colored autumn florals and tiny pumpkins decorate the tops.

Soft cream fabric is threaded through metal eyelets and tied loosely across each journal. The fabric has been left intentionally frayed, adding the timeworn texture found throughout these handmade collections.

Inside are lined writing pages, ready for autumn memories, lists, stories and all the little things worth keeping.

A Place to Keep Everything

The entire collection slips neatly into a large handmade tag-shaped holder.

The upper portion is soft ivory with gently inked edges, while the deep front pocket is finished in a rich cranberry-burgundy tone.

A semicircle opening at the center makes the journals easy to reach while allowing their warm pumpkin covers and colorful ephemera to remain visible when everything is tucked inside.

A coordinating autumn pen rests between the two journals. Covered with tumbling leaves in shades of gold, orange and red against a deep brown background, it fits beautifully with the colors of the set.

Together, the holder, journals and pen become a ready-to-use little writing collection—and a rather nice place to keep a few autumn secrets.

Two Oversized Writing Tags

Two large coordinating tags are included for even more room to write, collage or decorate.

One features a softly patterned dusty rose design, while the second has a quieter blush-pink textured finish. Both have gently inked edges and simple cream fabric tabs.

Turn them over and you'll find generous blank surfaces ready for writing or embellishment.

Use them for photographs, favorite quotations, autumn memories, seasonal recipes, gratitude lists, October traditions or a record of an evening you don't want to forget.

Little Autumn Treasures

The removable ephemera is where this collection's little nighttime story really begins.

And there are the cats.

One illustrated piece features a black cat beneath a glowing autumn moon, surrounded by flowers and brilliant foliage.

Another shows two black cats together beneath a tree, with warm evening light behind them and birds crossing the sky.
