A Little Autumn Story

There is always a little mischief hiding somewhere in October.

Maybe it is beneath a pile of fallen leaves, tucked behind the pumpkins at the farm stand, or peeking out from under a crooked witch's hat when no one is looking.

Pumpkin Patch Mischief was inspired by those wonderfully playful days of autumn—the ones filled with pumpkins, crunchy leaves, old tickets saved from an afternoon outing, and just enough Halloween magic to make you wonder what might happen after dark.

And, naturally, there are cats.

One little black cat has found a butterfly. The other appears to have acquired a witch's hat and looks entirely too pleased about it.

Something tells me they know exactly what they are doing.

About This Set

Autumn Treasures: Pumpkin Patch Mischief is a one-of-a-kind handmade mini journal and ephemera set created by Butterfly in the Attic.

At the center of the set are two tall, slender mini journals covered in a cheerful turquoise paper scattered with watercolor-style pumpkins, autumn leaves and little harvest details.

Each journal is backed in deep chocolate brown and finished with a corner tuck pocket—one in rich brown and the other in warm pumpkin orange. Tucked inside are whimsical black-cat pieces along with vintage-inspired tickets and autumn ephemera.

Soft, loosely woven cream fabric is threaded through metal eyelets at the tops, adding a wonderfully frayed and timeworn texture.

Inside, the journals contain lined writing paper, making them perfect for jotting down autumn memories, lists, little stories, seasonal plans or whatever happens to be on your mind.

A Place to Keep Everything

The entire collection slips neatly into a large handmade tag-shaped holder.

The holder is covered in a beautiful abstract paper washed with pumpkin, coral, cream and warm golden tones, with softly inked edges that give it the aged character found throughout the set.

A semicircle opening at the front makes it easy to reach the journals while allowing their colorful pumpkin covers—and their mischievous occupants—to peek out.

A coordinating autumn pen nestles between the two journals, turning the set into a ready-to-use little writing collection.

Two Oversized Writing Tags

Two large coordinating tags are included for even more room to write, collage or decorate.

One features soft diagonal stripes in a muted taupe-brown palette, while the second has a subtle warm peach texture. Both have aged edges and simple cream fabric tabs.

Turn them over and you'll find generous blank writing surfaces.

They can become journal cards, memory keepers, photo mats, places for favorite autumn recipes or traditions, or the beginning of an entirely new collage.

Little Autumn Treasures

The removable ephemera is one of my favorite parts of this set.

You'll find autumn leaves, a strip of old-fashioned admission tickets, a vintage-style amusement park ticket and two delightfully expressive black cats.

One sits quietly among the autumn foliage with a butterfly nearby.

The other has apparently decided that a witch's hat belongs to him now.

I don't think we're getting it back.

Everything can be tucked into the journals, rearranged, used in another journal or incorporated into your own paper crafting.
