Watercolor pumpkins, faded turquoise wood, wisps of frayed muslin and two tiny black cats come together in a little collection that feels like the first cool days of autumn.

Autumn Treasures No. 001 is a one-of-a-kind handmade Mini Journal & Ephemera Kit created for fall writing, memory keeping, list making and creative play.

At the center of the collection are two long-format mini journals, each covered in a beautiful pumpkin print in soft burnt orange against a muted blue-green background.

Rather than a traditional orange-and-brown autumn palette, these papers bring in wonderful touches of turquoise, cream, dark brown and weathered wood—colors that give the kit the feeling of an old farmhouse table covered with little treasures gathered during an autumn afternoon.

Two Handmade Mini Journals

Each journal has its own handmade corner pocket and is finished with layers of wonderfully imperfect textile details.

Frayed cream fabric ties spill from metal eyelets at the tops of the journals, while one journal is edged with narrow vintage-style woven trim.

The deliberately loose threads and raw fabric edges add softness and age to the cleaner lines of the paper, giving the journals that collected, timeworn character I love.

The corner pockets hold a small assortment of coordinating autumn ephemera.

And naturally, a pair of tiny black cats found their way into this particular drawer.

One is a sweet wide-eyed kitten accompanied by autumn leaves, while the other appears to have borrowed a pair of very oversized boots. They're joined by fall leaves, a leafy wreath, vintage-style labels and other small paper treasures that can be used with the journals or removed for another project.

Two Large Autumn Tags

Tucked behind the journals are two oversized handmade tags in rich autumn neutrals.

The larger tag is a warm russet-red with a subtle linen-like texture, while the smaller tag is a soft weathered cream.

Both have gently inked edges and small fabric tabs at the top, giving them the appearance of pieces that might already have spent a little time tucked inside an old journal.

Use them as writing spots, oversized bookmarks, journaling cards or foundations for your own collage and embellishment.

A Pocket to Keep Everything Together

The entire collection rests inside an oversized tag-shaped pocket holder.

The front combines a soft ivory background with a warm mottled autumn pocket in shades of pumpkin, rust and golden ochre. The edges have been inked and distressed to bring warmth and definition to the piece.

Turn it over and the holder becomes almost a piece of artwork on its own.

The reverse is covered in an atmospheric wash of rust, apricot, muted gold and warm red, softly mottled and speckled like fallen leaves, aged plaster or an autumn sky.
